Hello! I am pure Joy.
Hi there. I am Joy. Both in name and in mindset.
A few years ago I actually created the mantra for myself that “I am pure Joy.” I thought I was very clever with my dual word purpose. It still makes me chuckle to myself which, I think, is really what a good
self-mantra should do... have the ability to make us feel more positive when we say it to ourselves. Believe me, I do have to remind myself at many different times to stay “Joyful.” I think we all do. That is reality. It is not always easy to be upbeat and positive. Life can send us down paths that we never imagined we would face.
So, that leads me to this...my first blog post ever! I have never thought of myself as a writer before. I have never even journaled as many writers do. So, what you may ask has turned a 49-year-old single mom, marketing rep into a writer after all these years? Passion. And power. Not the power that comes from trying to control others, but the power that comes from sharing knowledge and experience that I have gained walking my own path (more on that in future blog posts).
My passion is driven by emPowering Newly Single Women to live big, satisfying lives by providing them information, resources, and community to be Happy, Healthy, and Safe.
It is for these reasons that I become a writer and why I am very excited to create this Newly Single Women Community for you, and with you.
We will cover topics relevant to women learning how to handle life on their own. Subjects like happiness, updates on beauty and grooming, financial advice, personal safety, how to meet new people, how to date in a digital world, and information to try new things and go new places. In addition to finding answers, you will have new tools, perspectives, and friends that enable and support you to create your new life filled with satisfaction, happiness, connectedness, and pride in yourself for the resilient and beautiful woman you are!
